How does BSW approach the topic
occupational safety?

All BSW employees can always be sure that they are in a safe working environment and will return home safe and sound at the end of the day. We work on this every single day. Environmental protection and occupational safety are constant tasks and an integral part of the actions we take. Occupational safety and our employees’ health are our top priority.

Our employees are our most precious asset. We want to protect this asset with the following measures:

  • Every accident can be prevented
  • Our goal: Reduce the likelihood of accidents occurring to zero. If risks cannot be avoided, the likelihood of these occurring is to be minimized with the T-O-P principle or the effects are to be limited:
  • T = Technical measures
  • O = Organizational adjustments and changes
  • P = Personal protective equipment and safety measures
  • Our fully continuous 5-shift operation means that we rely on every employee to be attentive. Our motto: Don’t look away! Take action if you see unsafe activities and circumstances. “The standard that you accept – that is your standard.”
  • All our company goals are equitable, but in case of doubt occupational safety takes precedence
  • Introduction of EVA process – attitude changes and behavioral changes in occupational safety through behavior-based safety audits

2. We look after one another. And we look after our protective equipment.
We don’t compromise when it comes to the health and safety of our employees. In line with our policy: “Zero accidents” – we can attain this goal if we work together. Protective helmets, protective goggles, breathing apparatus, or safety shoes – of course, we provide all our employees with the best possible protective equipment for a safe and health-promoting work environment.
