Having seamless processes in production requires well-organized framework conditions. That’s why we work with partners who are reliable and calculate in line with the market.
We don’t just want to be sustainable, we want to be a pioneer in this field. That’s why we’re pursuing new solutions for sustainable development to develop our steel production in a responsible and economically successful manner. This includes the entire value chain. Our goal: to create more value with our
products and solutions while at the same time reducing our ecological footprint.
WIN Charter
Right from the start, BSW has been a member of the “Wirtschaftsinitiative Nachhaltigkeit” (“sustainability business initiative”), or WIN for short, founded by the Ministry of Environment. The WIN working group, which selected companies and associations from Baden-Württemberg are a part of, aims to pool the experience and knowledge of committed companies for Baden-Württemberg and thus give them a pioneering role in the field of sustainability. One of the things that has come out of this working group is the WIN Charter, a voluntary agreement of the signatories to sustainable action and management, which is defined by twelve guiding principles.
SustSteel is a certification for sustainability by the European Steel Association Eurofer. Various points from the areas of economy, environment, and social issues are considered for the assessment.
