Occupational safety & environmental protection:
We take responsibility

There are definitely less dangerous jobs than working in steel production. That’s why we take special responsibility for the safety of our employees. That’s why we focus on safety at work, as well as the health of our employees and of the people in our region.

BSW sees occupational safety as a permanent task and an integral part of our day-to-day work. In addition, as a major company in the region, we maintain good contact with our neighbors, the municipality, the authorities, and educational institutions – and are happy to assume social responsibility.

Occupational safety

Our motto: Don’t look away! Rather intervene if things seem unsafe to you. Because every accident can be prevented. Our safety-first culture is stronger than ever. Far-reaching measures, such as the EVA process or the T-O-P principle, make a sustainable contribution –because safety is our top priority.

Sustainability

Sustainable thinking and action are a decisive challenge of the present. We see making our services sustainable not only as a challenge, but as a matter of the heart. By signing the WIN Charta, we acknowledge our economic, ecological and social responsibility.

Environmental protection

Active environmental protection is important to us. We implement a variety of measures to make the company’s environmental performance sustainable. We constantly invest in the development and implementation of new, sustainable technologies. This pays off – for example with one of the cleanest and most energy-efficient steel production processes on the market.

Our responsible measures

For us, taking responsibility isn’t just a word. We feel like it’s our duty towards people in the region and the people who work for us. That’s why we do everything humanly possible to make our steel plant one of the safest places in the world.
